SCHOLARSHIP PARTNERSHIPS

Partnering to Open More Doors for Our Students

No single organization can support every student who deserves it. That is why CAMBAY Women partners with other organizations — such as the Epie Jackai Memorial Foundation — to promote scholarship opportunities to students in our community.

Our role in these partnerships is to make sure the opportunity actually reaches the students who need it. We share the announcement across our network, help families understand the requirements, encourage students to apply, and celebrate the recipients when awards are announced. A scholarship that no one hears about helps no one; a scholarship promoted through a trusted community reaches the students it was created for.

If your organization offers scholarships and would like to reach students in the Cameroonian community and their friends, we would love to hear from you.

The Epie Jackai Memorial Foundation Scholarship

About the Partnership

CAMBAY Women is proud to support the Epie Jackai Memorial Foundation (EJSMF) in promoting this scholarship opportunity to students in our community.

Each academic year, the Foundation announces scholarship awards for students who demonstrate a commitment to education, community service, and making a positive impact in the CAMBAY or their local community. The program is built around the belief that investing in education and celebrating service go hand in hand.

Award Categories

The Foundation typically offers awards in three categories each cycle. The number of awards and the amounts are set by the Foundation and announced with each new scholarship cycle.

  • College & University — for students enrolled in a college or university program.
  • Dual Enrollment — for students enrolled in both high school and college at the same time.
  • High School — for students enrolled in high school.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

Requirements are set by the Epie Jackai Memorial Foundation and have generally included the following. Always confirm the details published for the current cycle before applying.

  • Enrollment in high school or a college/university for the academic year of the award.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
  • Community service and a positive attitude are important considerations in the selection process.
  • A completed online application submitted by the posted deadline.
  • An essay addressing the required prompts.
  • One letter of recommendation from someone who is neither a relative nor a schoolmate.
